In partnership with JETRO, 500 Global is delighted to open applications for the J-StarX Silicon Valley Extended Program 2025 which will run later this year from August to October. This 11-week program, split between Tokyo and the US, focuses on global market validation, global VCs attraction, and strategic business growth through workshops and personalized mentoring.
During Why you should choose the Silicon Valley Extended Program by 500 Global, founders who participated in the inaugural cohort will share their experiences and answer your questions on how the program has helped as they expand their business globally. We will also have mentors and venture capitalists from the 500 network share insights and trends on the global landscape.

JETRO’s J-StarX Silicon Valley Extended Program powered by 500 Global is a 11-week, tuition-free program, designed to support Japanese startups in going global. This program will take startups from Tokyo to Silicon Valley. It begins with a 5-week preparation phase in Tokyo, followed by 4 weeks in Palo Alto, where startups will work towards building their networks with stakeholders in the ecosystem to build traction, and work closely with global mentors to build a globally scalable business. We will end with a 2-week follow up support phase in Tokyo or online, to debrief on program outcomes, challenges, and build a roadmap for next steps.
JETRO, or the Japan External Trade Organization, is a government-related organization that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world. Originally established in 1958 to promote Japanese exports abroad, JETRO's core focus in the 21st century has shifted toward promoting foreign direct investment into Japan and helping small to medium size Japanese firms maximize their global export potential.
J-StarX is an international entrepreneur development program organized by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). It aims to support Japanese entrepreneurs and startups in expanding globally by providing opportunities to engage with leading startup ecosystems.
